                            MEET RUSTY A RENAULT GOELETTE

                                            BUILT EARLY FIFTIES

And now you know why he s called RUSTY.....

It was just on a cold day Barry and Luke called in at an old

depot vente on there  way home. Right at the back amongst

lots of old bits and bobs was Rusty...

They came home told me all about this old lorry, and how

great it would look if  they restored it,well my grandparents

had an haulage company before the war and it has continued

through the years with my dad brothers and uncles so I thought

it was a great idea.  I have spent many a night inside my dads

lorry asleep on the engine with my brother going to London

      down the M1......

Over the coming weeks you can follow the progress as Barry

and the boys restore this wonderful old vehicle......

And this is when the fun starts taking him all to bits...

Its a family project Barry Luke and Lewis have been

waiting  for good weather to get started.....

After all the years it takes a bit alot of elbow grease

to remove all the old parts...

Its wonderful to see all the old identity plates and parts......

I am told  this part is for the brake fluid.....

Just look at the clock brilliant....

                                                                  Engine and gearbox...

Sifting the sand ready for blasting....

work continues on a very hot Octobers day 25c....

It takes  alot of sand blasting to remove the rust

And underneath it is like new......

Every part of the lorry has to be sand blasted to

remove all the rust before it has the primer

                     painted on....

First coat of primer on the cab its beginning

                                          to look really good.....
