23c….30/06/2021……Lot/Dordogne Region…..

We have had a stormy few days…..Saturday evening we had a bad storm windy and alot of heavy rain all night……and since then we have heavy rain on and off…..today Barry and Luke are repairing roads around the park as alot of it got washed onto the grass…….a few trees in the woods are down….and the odd one on the park…….it started off this morning overcast but the sun is out now temperatures around 23c…….the next couple of days are better but looking unsettled at the week-end and changeable next week but temperatures rising……..to think the swimming pool was at 29c before the storms ……it has even filled the pool and Barry has had to drain somewater out of it a couple of times…..I have been tidying up and putting in stakes next to the tall plants that have blown over….everything in the garden has doubled in size with the rain….. my veg patch is looking great…..I have been collecting courgettes and cucumbers ……and Barry has found around 12kg of Girolles……its been great for mushrooms……..luckily for our residents returning in July the temperatures are looking more like summer….

Hi Christine hope you are all well if we do manage to visit in August is there somewhere local that can carry out the required PCR test that is needed for the return journey back to the UK and if so any idea of the approximate cost per person. It would seem to make the journey from the UK to the site in France will entail taking three PCR tests in total as we have both had our vaccine doses. Just trying to get an idea of the extra costs involved in making the journey this year.
